Greene performed with regional bands in Arizona and Idaho before finally settling in with the Nate Schierman Band in early 2003. With Schierman, Greene recorded three studio albums, performing in front of thousands as they toured throughout the West Coast, highlighted by shows opening for Tyrone Wells, Presidents of the United States of America, and (as a solo artist) PM Dawn. A break with the band in early 2006 gave Ron the opportunity to branch out and perform as a soloist. The warm response to his music solidified Greene's decision to release a solo project. The bands disbanding in early 2007 opened the door for the completion of Sketches, the debut CD from Ron. Released in early 2008 the CD features Ron's homegrown down to earth blend of acoustic and electric guitars, and smooth vocals, making for an organic, raw blend of soul, rock and roll, with a hint of pop combined with words of love, friendship and simple faith that flow through a record that only a lifetime could create.
The winner of the Hitstreet Records Talent Search in Spokane, Washington, Greene has performed in various venues across Idaho, Washington State, Oregon, California and Arizona. He has already been featured on Spokane radio stations, weekly newspapers, and had a TV appearance on KXLY's (Spokane, WA) Good Morning Northwest show. With over a decade of writing, recording, and touring under his belt, Ron Greene has quietly become one of the most accomplished musicians in the Northwest. With great anticipation the release of Sketches marks a new era for Greene, and fans, old and new, can finally capture a glimpse into this emerging artist.
